Skive was born in 2009, the brainchild of Joachim Sedelmeier and Mark Walker. After designing and developing for some of the world’s leading brands they decided it was time to follow their own creative ideals and launch their own range of footwear. Based in Hoxton, London, both Mark and Joachim have a deep rooted passion for shoes, traditionally crafted products and design that is the DNA which runs deep in the brand’s identity. Over their careers they have worked with some of the best factories and craftsmen in the world, and have learned to appreciate the craftsmanship that good shoemaking requires. At the core of each collection are the finest and most unique materials, which means we do not need to over-embellish. What remains are classic shapes, which have been updated and made unique by their craft, modern feel and materials.
