2K began in Japan in 1995 and pioneered the concept of ‘art on a t-shirt’. Never wanting to be seen as ‘just another graphic tee’, the guys at 2K spent most of their time on the road meeting both known and underground artists from all over and selecting their work to feature on their t-shirts.

2K has now become a truly international concept and is a very important and influential medium in the global network of the visual art scene. The designs are seen as powerful and impactful communication tools in urban and youth culture.

2K covers various artistic fields from fine arts, commercial arts, graphic design and illustration to photography, motion picture art and music. It is well respected by many artists and designers and used by them as a platform to explain more about their work. Over the years, 2K has worked with such talented folk as Daniel Johnson (as worn by the late Kurt Cobain), Yoko Ono, Gilbert & George, M/M Paris, Bjork, Marc Atlan, David Shrigley. The list goes on…
